In Year 9, Lezyne launched the ABS2 Flip Chuck. All new pumps (from Y9 onwards) are equipped with this new ABS2 Flip Chuck, a significant and important improvement for the pumps. This new ABS2 Flip Chuck can be used on both Presta and Schrader valves and is equipped with a quick disconnect for Presta valves. The ABS2 also features an Air Bleed System button, which allows you to easily regulate pressure and maintain full control.
The ABS2 Flip Chuck is also available separately and can be installed on older Lezyne floor pumps. The ABS2 Flip Chuck is even available for High Volume (HV) pumps and High Pressure (HP) pumps for mountain bikes and road bikes, respectively. Since many bike enthusiasts want to use the latest technology of the ABS2 Flip Chuck on their old(er) Lezyne pump, here’s an easy step-by-step guide to convert the ABS on your pump.
Unscrew the old ABS from the swivel attached to the hose.
Remove the swivel from the hose with an Allen wrench (or: Allen Wrench). We recommend the Allen 4 on the Lezyne 3-Way Wrench. If the swivel on your pump is factory attached (crimped on), you can simply cut the swivel off.

Loosen the union nut of the ABS2 Flip Chuck and slide it around the hose of your Lezyne pump.
Insert the ABS2 Flip Chuck into the hose of your Lezyne pump.
Slide the swivel nut of the ABS2 Flip Chuck up to the ABS2 Flip Chuck and tighten.
